Brett + Nastassia were married on the most beautiful Sunday in June. After meeting in medical school and spending seven years together, they invited their family and friends to join them at the Detroit Yacht Club on Belle Isle to celebrate their love. Guests traveled from near and far to witness their thoughtfully written vows and to watch the sunset behind the Detroit skyline.

Hannah actually spent a season working with me. She is now an incredibly talented, independent wedding photographer, but during her time with me we shared a hotel room on Mackinac Island while shooting a wedding. I hadn't met Steve yet, but I could tell from their sweet phone conversations that it was special. They were just getting ready to move in together, and adopt their first puppy.
In February they invited all of their friends to The Cheney Place, Grand Raids to celebrate love and life with them. The day was filled with joy and laughter and the Michigan winter weather was even mild enough that we were able to adventure a bit outside of the picture perfect venue. It was an honor to be a part of their wedding day, and Hannah, you are absolutely stunning. Inside and out. Congratulations to you and Steve.
Ryan + Lauren are absolutely as sweet as they come. Despite them living on the northern east coast, and myself being based in the midwest, I was fortunate enough to be able to connect with them in Savannah for an engagement session. It was instantly apparent that these guys shared something special, and I spent the next year looking forward to their wedding day.
Friends and family traveled into Savannah during the last weekend in October (post all hurricanes, thank goodness) to celebrate with Ryan + Lauren at the Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum. The venue was not only stunning, but also very fitting considering Ryan’s service for the United States Navy.
After an evening ceremony Ryan + Lauren were welcomed into their reception with an official Sword Ceremony where they continued the party on the dance floor. It was rumored that Miley Cyrus was across the street filming for a movie, we were hoping she would drop by and sign a song for the servicemen, but no such luck. Regardless, this day was perfect in every way.
